Handmade Explore Card

This is a great masculine card. I started 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Bazzill Basic Brown cardstock that I folded to make an A2 size card. Then I layered on 4″ x 5″ piece of map designer paper from Tim Holtz Crowed Attic Paper stack.  Then I took a  5 x 1 1/2 inch piece of dark blue card stock and used my Regal Flourishes folder to emboss it. Then I layered in on toward the bottom of the card. I attached small brads in each of the corner of the map. I cut the world at 3 1/2 inches from the Give Hoot Cartridge. I cut the water and continents from ancestry.com paper. I used recollections card stock for the shadow and ribbon and  distressed them my Tim Holtz Distress ink. After the world was assembled, I attached it with some pop dots. For the sentiment I used a small frame from the ancesty.com embossed frames. I cut a piece of dark red paper to fit in the frame. Before I stamped my sentiment, I distressed the red cardstock with Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I used my Martha Stewart Clear Stamps Sans Serif Typeface to spell out explore. Then I attached the frame with some pop dots. Hope you enjoy this card.

Here is another pretty handmade card. This card is great to give to a close friend. It started with standard A2 card in craft cardstock. I cut the scallop shape out from Birthday Bash from a piece of designer paper from DCWV Garden Party stack. The flowers are from the Freshly Picked Cartridge. I used the shadow, so the flowers would stand out against the background. I printed the sentiment out on my printer, and then matted it on some blue card stock before adhering it to the card with some pop dots. To check out more cute sentiment to go with the Fresh Picked Cartridge read my post about it here. Then I punched some holes at the top and attached a ribbon bow. Hope you like this card and happy crafting.

My dad requested I make him some greeting cards, so this is one of the ones I made for him. It is a simple card, but wasn’t simple to make. I started with A2 size card in craft card stock. Then I layered a piece of patterned paper from the ancestry.com stack on top a piece of Bazzill Bitter Chocolate. Then I placed eyelets in each corner, and attached s0me brown ribbon before I taped the layer on the card base. After it was attached, I tied a ribbon bow. The books are from the Cricut Hello Kitty Greetings Cartridge. I cut the apple off the top of the books with my paper trimmer. The based of the books is brown recollections paper that I inked up with Victorian Velvet and Vintage Photo. The brown  books are Bazzill Bitter Chocolate and Brown. The red book is recollectionccards stock that I inked up with Victorian Velvet and Vintage Photo.  After the books were assembled, I used pop dots to attach them to the card base.  I place a black pearl in the book corner. The sentiment was stamped using Martha Stewart Clear Stamps Sans Serif Typeface.  I just got these stamps, and love how easily and clearly they stamp. I stamped ‘read’ on a piece of card stock that punched out from the ancestry.com embossed frames. I attached the sentiment with two brads that I colored black. I really love how this card came out, and that I was able to make a masculine card with such a girly cartridge.

I love this image, because there is an owl and cat. It reminds me of the video on the right, where a cat and owl are best friends.  This was a pretty simple card to make. I made the waves by tearing the edge of three different colors of blue paper and then layering them. The cloud are super cute brads. Hope you like this card.

Turtle-ly Awesome!

Turtle-ly Awesome!

This cute turtle card has cute turtle pun, and can be used for many different occasions. I am using this little guy as a thank you card for my brother-in-law, who loves turtles.  The turtle was cut at 2 inches, and the patterned paper used for his body is from DCWV Garden Party.  I used a piece of paper from DCWC The Green Stack for the background. I love this new paper stack. The designs are super cute, the paper is 70% recycled, and it has a really cool texture. I think this paper stack with go well with the Give a Hoot Cricut Cartridge. The brown tag is from the DCWV Garden Party punch outs. The rest is pretty self explanatory. Hope you enjoy this card.

I made this card for my husband’s aunt who is a fellow cat lover. When the Cricut Lite Cartridge dropped to 30 dollars, I had to get this Meow cartridge. All the cats are super cute in this cartridge. Most the cats have fours layers, and are generally easy to assemble. The noses and are ears can sometimes be really small. Hope you cat lovers like this card.
