Handmade Tree Tire Swing Card

I made two different tree cards today. For the first tree card, I used the give a hoot cartridge. The tree proportion were kind of an accident. I forget to turn the fit length off and ended up with a huge tree and an even bigger branch.  I liked the way it turned out, so I ended up using the tree anyways. To get a similar look, I would suggest cutting the tree at 5 3/4 inches and the branch at 6 1/4 inches. After assembling my tree, I adhered it to my A2 Kraft card base with some of the tree hanging off. Then I trimmed off the excess paper. I cut the circle outline for the tire swing from Plantin schoolbook at 1 1/2 inches. I cut 4 circles and glued them together to get a thicker tire. Then a used my gray gel pen to make tire treads. Before attaching the tire, I stamped and embossed my sentiment with white embossing powder.  To finish the tire swing, I used some hemp as a rope and used a silver brad to attach the tire swing. To complete the card, I corner round the edges and did a little doodling on inside.

Handmade Embossed Tree Card

For my second tree card, I cut a circle from Birthday Bash using real dial size at 3 inches in kraft cardstock and a scallop circle in 3 3/4 inches. I have cut the scallop and circle from the Birthday Bash cartridge so many times, I don’t even need to look at the book to remember the buttons. I stamped a Martha Stewart Tree Stamp with green pigment ink on my circle. Then I sprinkled clear embossing powder, and used my heat tool. I think the tree turned out beautiful. I adhered the tree circle to my scallop circle and tied some brown ribbon around my card base. Then I used ATG to adhere the circle. I then used my antique gold embossing powder to emboss my sentiment. For the finishing touch, I tied a bow with the ribbon. I hope everyone enjoys these two tree cards.

Handmade Happy Bird Day Card

Happy Bird Day

I made this super cute Birthday card for one of my coworkers. Her favorite colors are brown and pink, so I wanted to feature those colors her card.

Card base: 5 1/2″ x 10″ piece of pale pink cardstock folded in half to make a 5 1/2″ square

Cardbase: 5″ square Bazzill Basics Texture cardstock in bitter chocolate

Paper Layers: 3″ x 5″ carnation pink cardstock embossed with Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder, and a 5″ border cut from the DCWV Garden party stack.

Diecut: The birdie is cut from the Birthday Bash Cartridge at 2 1/2″ and embellished with a teal Sakura Gel pen and a pink pearl.

To make this card I started with my base layer, and then adheared the pink happy brithday cardstock with my ATG. Then I adhered the super cute pink and brown houndstooth. Then I taped my brown ribbon down. Then adhered on care base to the pale pink card base. After assembling my cute little bird with my Zig two way glue pen, I used some pop dots to place him on card. For the sentiment,  I used some sticko letter stickers to spell out “Happy Bird Day.” Now time to embellish. I used my gel pen to do some stitching on base layer. Handmade Bee and Flower Card

To make this adorable friendship card, I started with a piece of 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 piece of craft cardstock. I folded it in half to make a standard A2 size card.  For the first layer I used a piece of  4″ x  5″ Bazzill Basics Lime Crush card stock. Then I layer on a 3″ x 5″ piece of pattern paper from the Sweet Nectar stack . The paper was a pale blue and cream  background with big red flowers in the corners. I used a center piece without any flowers. Before attaching the background layer to the card, I added some green ribbon and a bow. The tulip garden was cut from the freshly picked cartridge. I used distress ink on both layers of the wooden flower pot. After attaching the flower bed, I adhered my bee from the Give a Hoot Cartridge with some pop dots.  For my sentiment I used the Niki Riki thickers to spell out Bee, then I wrote out the rest of my sentiment with a felt tip marker. Hope you love this cute friendship card.

Handmade Explore Card

This is a great masculine card. I started 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Bazzill Basic Brown cardstock that I folded to make an A2 size card. Then I layered on 4″ x 5″ piece of map designer paper from Tim Holtz Crowed Attic Paper stack.  Then I took a  5 x 1 1/2 inch piece of dark blue card stock and used my Regal Flourishes folder to emboss it. Then I layered in on toward the bottom of the card. I attached small brads in each of the corner of the map. I cut the world at 3 1/2 inches from the Give Hoot Cartridge. I cut the water and continents from ancestry.com paper. I used recollections card stock for the shadow and ribbon and  distressed them my Tim Holtz Distress ink. After the world was assembled, I attached it with some pop dots. For the sentiment I used a small frame from the ancesty.com embossed frames. I cut a piece of dark red paper to fit in the frame. Here is another pretty handmade card. This card is great to give to a close friend. It started with standard A2 card in craft cardstock. I cut the scallop shape out from Birthday Bash from a piece of designer paper from DCWV Garden Party stack. The flowers are from the Freshly Picked Cartridge. I used the shadow, so the flowers would stand out against the background. I printed the sentiment out on my printer, and then matted it on some blue card stock before adhering it to the card with some pop dots. To check out more cute sentiment to go with the Fresh Picked Cartridge read my post about it here. Then I punched some holes at the top and attached a ribbon bow. Hope you like this card and happy crafting.
