Handmade Nature Card

Supplies:

  • Recollection Cardstock
  • Bazzill Basics Cardstock
  • Die Cuts With a View Garden Party Stack
  • Cricut Freshly Picked Cartridge
  • Cricut Birthday Bash Cartridge
  • 3D-Dots from EK tools
  • Ribbon

Here is another pretty handmade card. This card is great to give to a close friend. It started with standard A2 card in craft cardstock. I cut the scallop shape out from Birthday Bash from a piece of designer paper from DCWV Garden Party stack. The flowers are from the Freshly Picked Cartridge. I used the shadow, so the flowers would stand out against the background. I printed the sentiment out on my printer, and then matted it on some blue card stock before adhering it to the card with some pop dots. To check out more cute sentiment to go with the Fresh Picked Cartridge read my post about it here. Then I punched some holes at the top and attached a ribbon bow. Hope you like this card and happy crafting.

Another Cute Use for Your Ribbon Scraps

Another Cute Use for Your Ribbon Scraps

I saw how to make these super cute ribbon emblishments on okakuku’s Youtube Channel. This is a great way to use up your ribbon scraps, and make adorable embellishments. Unlike the video, I used my hot glue gun to make this button and ribbon embellishments. The butterfly patterned paper is from the garden party stack and are 2 inch squares. The brown card stock squares are  cut a 1 1/2 inch. The cream paper is a one inch square. The metal letters for the sentiment, I got at Michael’s. They were intending for use in making your own stepping stones.  Hope this inspires you to make some cute embellishments.

The koala from Create a Critter is adorable. If he wasn’t made of paper I would hug him. I’m not sure where I got the patterned paper from for the Koala. I am trying to use up my scraps. The scallop was cut from create a critter and the paper is from Garden Party Stack. I pop doted up the blue circle and the koala. Hope you enjoy this card.

Even though this card is simple I love it. I almost don’t want to give it away. The butterfly paper is from DCWV Garden Party. I used a Tim Holtz Rubber Cling stamp, and Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The brown ribbon is American Crafts. The corners were round with a punch. Get inspired.

Turtle-ly Awesome!

Turtle-ly Awesome!

This cute turtle card has cute turtle pun, and can be used for many different occasions. I am using this little guy as a thank you card for my brother-in-law, who loves turtles.  The turtle was cut at 2 inches, and the patterned paper used for his body is from DCWV Garden Party.  I used a piece of paper from DCWC The Green Stack for the background. I love this new paper stack. The designs are super cute, the paper is 70% recycled, and it has a really cool texture. I think this paper stack with go well with the Give a Hoot Cricut Cartridge. The brown tag is from the DCWV Garden Party punch outs. The rest is pretty self explanatory. Hope you enjoy this card.

Punch Out Embellishments

Glitter Embellishments

I made a bunch of Thank you cards the other day, in preparation for husband’s Birthday gifts. I cut the cow, milk bottle, and scallop shapes from the create a critter cartridge. I wasn’t going to use the milk bottle, but I made a mistake on the cows posterior. The brown patterned paper is from a 6×6 paper stack called Paws ad Claws Cat. Below the brown patterned paper, there is a cream paper from the Garden Stack. The sentiment is glued to a patterned card stock tag that came in the Die Cuts with a View Garden Party Stack. I got this stack at Target, and really like that it came with embellishments. The first page is coordinating stickers embellishments, and the second page is punch out card stock embellishments, and then there 38 pages of pattern paper. Some of the sheets have glitter, and they are all really pretty designs. I hope this gives you some ideas.

One of many frogs that visit my pond

I always think of frogs as french, so I thought a French sentiment was perfect to go along with this adorable frog die cut. I used Colorbok Texture card stock in dark green for the  lily pad. I don’t really like this card stock, because the edges are white. I bought a paper stack of textured Colorbok from Walmart for five dollars, and I am trying to use up. Hope this gives you some ideas for your cards.
