Die Cuts with a View the Blossom Song Stack

Hello, Teacher!

Hello, Teacher!

Handmade Back to School CardThis super cute back to school card is a 5 x 5 square. The base is recollection craft card stock. The background paper is from  DCWV The Green Stack and has really cool texture. I used a piece of brown paper from The Green Stack for the first layer of the apple. The ruler was cut from a piece of card stock from the K & Company Paper Stack Sweet Nectar.  I don’t like any of shades of green that Recollection makes, so I stock up on variety of Bazzill green shades. I used lime crush for the apple leaves and the bottom green layer of the inch worm. The top layer of the inch worm is a sheet of green from the DCWV Blossom Stack. Both images are from the Create a Critter Cartridge. The apple is from page 25 and the inch worm is on page 65.  I hope you like this card and it inspires you to make a back to school card.

I made this thank you card for my husband’s grandparents. They love teddy bears. The purple bear is suppose to be his grandma, because she loves purple. The pink bear is his grandfather, because he loves pink. I love the bow tie. The tie is from the Kitty accessories on the Create a Critter cartridge. Hope this inspires you to make a thank you card today.

This was a really simple thank you card. I started with some craft stock in a standard A2 size care. The background is from Garden Party and I cut down a circle to get the shape. The rest is self explanatory. Hope this gives you some ideas.

Gift Wrap with Kraft Paper and Stamps

Gift Wrap with Kraft Paper and Stamps

Wrapping Paper

Supplies

  • Kraft Paper (available in the packing section at Walmart and office supplies stores)
  • Clear Packing Tape (Regular Scotch tape will not work)
  • Some Rubber Stamps.
  • Ink Pads (I used Tim Holtz® Distress Ink Pads in Tea Dye and Vintage Photo)

To make the pattern I just stamped the paper in two contrasting colors. I actually stamped right on the paper after i wrapped the present, so I could plan out the pattern better.

One of many frogs that visit my pond

I always think of frogs as french, so I thought a French sentiment was perfect to go along with this adorable frog die cut. I used Colorbok Texture card stock in dark green for the  lily pad. I don’t really like this card stock, because the edges are white. I bought a paper stack of textured Colorbok from Walmart for five dollars, and I am trying to use up. Hope this gives you some ideas for your cards.
