Handmade Hello Squirrel Card

Handmade Hello Squirrel Card

Handmade Hello Squirrel Card

I started with an A2 kraft cardstock card base. I stamped all over the card with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage Photo with my super cute flower rubber stamp. I cut a 3 x 4 1/2″ piece of basicgrey archaic-prehistoric pattern paper and attached it in the middle of the card. The squirrel is cut from Give a Hoot at 2 1/2″. His base layer is basicgrey archaic-boulder pattern paper, and the top layer is kraft card stock inked up with Vintage Photo Distress ink. His cute little top hat is cut from the Billionaire Lite Cartridge at 1/2″ in black and the band is cut from boulder. I used some boulder pattern paper for the background to my embossed frame. After I attached the squirrel, I used some pop dots to attach the focal image to the card. I used the archiac alphabet stickers to spell out the greeting. Hello is spelled out in all capital letters, and friend is spelled out in all lower case letters. I hope you like this card.

Handmade Explore Card

This is a great masculine card. I started 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Bazzill Basic Brown cardstock that I folded to make an A2 size card. Then I layered on 4″ x 5″ piece of map designer paper from Tim Holtz Crowed Attic Paper stack.  Then I took a  5 x 1 1/2 inch piece of dark blue card stock and used my Regal Flourishes folder to emboss it. Then I layered in on toward the bottom of the card. I attached small brads in each of the corner of the map. I cut the world at 3 1/2 inches from the Give Hoot Cartridge. I cut the water and continents from ancestry.com paper. I used recollections card stock for the shadow and ribbon and  distressed them my Tim Holtz Distress ink. After the world was assembled, I attached it with some pop dots. For the sentiment I used a small frame from the ancesty.com embossed frames. I cut a piece of dark red paper to fit in the frame. Before I stamped my sentiment, I distressed the red cardstock with Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I used my Martha Stewart Clear Stamps Sans Serif Typeface to spell out explore. Then I attached the frame with some pop dots. Hope you enjoy this card.

My dad requested I make him some greeting cards, so this is one of the ones I made for him. It is a simple card, but wasn’t simple to make. I started with A2 size card in craft card stock. Then I layered a piece of patterned paper from the ancestry.com stack on top a piece of Bazzill Bitter Chocolate. Then I placed eyelets in each corner, and attached s0me brown ribbon before I taped the layer on the card base. After it was attached, I tied a ribbon bow. The books are from the Cricut Hello Kitty Greetings Cartridge. I cut the apple off the top of the books with my paper trimmer. The based of the books is brown recollections paper that I inked up with Victorian Velvet and Vintage Photo. The brown  books are Bazzill Bitter Chocolate and Brown. The red book is recollectionccards stock that I inked up with Victorian Velvet and Vintage Photo.  After the books were assembled, I used pop dots to attach them to the card base.  I place a black pearl in the book corner. The sentiment was stamped using Martha Stewart Clear Stamps Sans Serif Typeface.  I just got these stamps, and love how easily and clearly they stamp. I stamped ‘read’ on a piece of card stock that punched out from the ancestry.com embossed frames. I attached the sentiment with two brads that I colored black. I really love how this card came out, and that I was able to make a masculine card with such a girly cartridge.
